The short version
Easy Press Pro runs the tools you see on this site directly inside your web browser. When you compress an image, edit a PDF, or use any other tool here, your file stays on your device. We never see it, store it, or transmit it anywhere.
To support keeping the site free, we use Google Analytics for anonymous usage measurement and may display ads through Google AdSense. Both rely on cookies. You can accept, reject, or manage these cookies using the consent banner on your first visit (or anytime via the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer).
How file processing actually works
Every tool on Easy Press Pro is built using JavaScript libraries that execute in your browser. When you upload an image or PDF to one of our tools, the file is read into your browser's memory, processed locally by the tool, and the result is downloaded back to your device. At no point is the file sent to our servers, a third-party server, or any external service.
You can verify this yourself: open your browser's developer tools (F12), go to the Network tab, and use any of our tools. You will not see your file uploaded anywhere. The only network activity is loading the tool's code and the AI models (for tools like the background remover and image upscaler) — both of which are cached after the first visit so they load instantly afterward.
For AI-powered tools, the models themselves are downloaded once from Hugging Face's CDN and cached in your browser. The models then run on your device. Your image is processed by the AI locally; the model never sends image data back.
Information we collect
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-EZBJBDM6CK) to understand how visitors use the site. When enabled, this collects standard web analytics data including:
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- General location at country and city level (derived from IP address)
- Browser type, device type and operating system
- Referring website (how you found us)
- Anonymous user identifiers Google Analytics uses to recognize repeat visitors
We do not collect: your name, email, phone number, or any other personally identifying information; the contents of files you process with our tools; passwords or credentials of any kind. We do not have a sign-up form or any way to associate your usage with you personally.
Cookies and similar technologies
This site uses two categories of cookies, both of which you can accept or reject through the consent banner:
- Strictly necessary cookies — required for basic site functionality (such as remembering your cookie consent choice itself). These are always on and cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics 4 to count visitors and measure how pages are used. Disabled by default until you accept.
- Advertising cookies — set by Google AdSense and its partners to deliver ads, measure ad performance, and (where permitted) personalize ads. Disabled by default until you accept.
If you reject analytics and advertising cookies, the site still works fully and you will still see ads — but the ads will be non-personalized and analytics will not record your visit.
You can change your consent at any time by clicking "Cookie Settings" in the footer. You can also clear site cookies through your browser's settings.
Google AdSense and advertising
Easy Press Pro participates in the Google AdSense program. This is the primary way the site supports itself while remaining free and without paid tiers.
When AdSense is active on a page, Google and its partners may set cookies on your device to:
- Serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet
- Measure ad performance, including impressions, clicks and conversions
- Prevent the same ad from being shown to you repeatedly (frequency capping)
- Detect and prevent ad fraud
Google uses the DoubleClick DART cookie and related technologies (including web beacons and pixel tags) to deliver ads based on a user's visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom or Switzerland, ads served to you are governed by Google's EU User Consent Policy and will respect the consent choices you make in the cookie banner on this site.
Your advertising and tracking opt-outs
You have several options to control or opt out of personalized advertising:
- On this site: use the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer to revoke advertising consent at any time.
- Across Google: visit Google Ads Settings to control personalization or turn it off entirely.
- Industry-wide opt-outs: use the NAI consumer opt-out (Network Advertising Initiative), DAA opt-out (Digital Advertising Alliance) or, in Europe, the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance.
- Google Analytics: install the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to block GA across all sites.
Third-party services
The site loads a few external resources that may receive standard HTTP request information when you visit:
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) — serves the typography used on this site
- Font Awesome via CDNJS (cdnjs.cloudflare.com) — serves icon files
- JavaScript libraries via CDNJS and JSDelivr — serves tool functionality (pdf.js, pdf-lib, JSZip, transformers.js, tesseract.js, SheetJS)
- Hugging Face CDN (cdn.jsdelivr.net) — serves AI model files for tools like background remover and image upscaler
- Google AdSense, Google Analytics and DoubleClick — Google services used for advertising and measurement (described in the sections above)
These services receive your IP address as part of normal HTTP requests (this is how the internet works) but do not have visibility into the files you process with our tools.
Children's privacy
Easy Press Pro is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it. Personalized advertising is not served to users we identify as being under 13 in jurisdictions where this restriction applies.
Data retention
Files processed with our tools are not retained anywhere — they exist only in your browser's memory during processing and are discarded when you close the tab. Google Analytics retains visitor-level data for 14 months by default. Cookies (including the AdSense DART cookie) have their own expiration periods, typically between several months and two years, depending on the cookie.
Your rights
If you are in the European Union, United Kingdom, California, or another jurisdiction with privacy regulations, you have rights including the ability to request information about data we hold on you, request deletion of data, or opt out of analytics and advertising. Since we do not collect personal data tied to your identity directly, most "data subject" requests are not applicable to us — but you can fully exercise your rights against Google's cookies and ad services through the opt-out links above and the cookie banner on this site.
California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what categories of personal information are collected and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money; advertising cookies you accept may share limited browsing data with Google for advertising purposes — you can opt out of this by rejecting advertising cookies in the banner.
